Sabrina Graf Smith

Intake Coordinator and Office Manager

(she/her)

Sabrina is often the first voice that you hear at Laksman Doell Psychology. As our Intake Coordinator and Office Manager, she’s the person who picks up the phone, responds to your message, and walks you through what comes next. For many people, that first contact happens at a moment of uncertainty or vulnerability. Sabrina understands that, and she takes it seriously.

She holds a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Psychology and a focus on interpersonal dynamics, social influence, and close relationships, alongside certificates from the Smith School of Business at Queen’s University and the University of Toronto in marketing, digital strategy, and communications. What’s always driven her is the same thing that drives this practice: genuine curiosity about people and their stories. What shapes us, what moves us, what helps us to connect.

Sabrina joined Laksman Doell Psychology in 2023 and stepped into her current role in January 2024, following a rigorous training process with our Clinical Directors. That training covered our full intake and assessment process and something that matters deeply to us: the art of matching clients with the right clinician. It’s not a formality. It is central to our vision and to our promise to do the best that we can for the community that we serve.
When Sabrina speaks with a new client for the first time, she brings both warmth and precision. She listens carefully and considers how someone presents, what they are struggling with, how they process, and what they’re looking for in a therapeutic relationship, and then she makes a thoughtful recommendation based on all of it. Her goal is simple: that by the end of that first conversation, you feel clearer, calmer, genuinely taken care of, and that you have a transparent view of next steps.

Before joining us, Sabrina built her client-facing instincts across a range of settings, including client relations at Pfaff Audi Vaughan, in advising and sales at a local pool store, and as a swim instructor. Through it all, she developed something that can’t be taught: the ability to read what someone needs and how to show up for them. She has also volunteered with Step Above Stigma, a youth mental health charity, contributing to their marketing, fund development, and social media work in support of reducing stigma and opening up honest conversation about mental health.

Sabrina believes that the intake process is not administrative; it’s the beginning of care, and she treats it that way, every time.
